Seed physiological quality of wheat cultivars in response to phosphate fertilization

Abstract: Mineral nutrients play an important role in the composition of seeds, influencing germination rate and production vigorous seedlings, which is fundamental for establishment plant stand crop yield. This work aimed to evaluate effect phosphate fertilization on phosphorus (P) content physiological quality seeds wheat cultivars. A 2 × 16 split plot design was used, with two rates P (0 140 kg.ha-1) genotypes (cultivars BR 18, 23, BRS 208, 254, 264, 404, Graúna, Pardela, Sabiá, WT 15025, CD 118, IPR Catuara, Ocepar 14, Supera, TBIO Bandeirante Iguaçu). The evaluation includes: first count, germination, accelerated aging, seedling emergence length, electrical conductivity, speed index, thousand-seed weight. data were subject analysis variance comparison means by F-test Scott-Knott test, respectively. 18 14 showed higher quality, whereas Iguaçu, Sabiá lower vigor.
